Any person who has lost a mate has these same thoughts and it is nice to see someone else feels the same way. How many times have you said to yourself, that's the way I feel. A good read.
As you read these lines, you can feel where John is coming from. Since working with elders all my adult life, I have heard similar stories over and over. It's not easy growing older but it is especially hard losing a loved one. They are shared emotions.

I received this book as a gift. It took me completely by surprise, a delightful journey into John's experiences in Life and Love, his perspective on the world as he sees it. I read these poems to my girlfiend out loud and we both enjoyed it thoroughly. We found ourselves smiling at times, laughing, and feeling sad at his loss. Every poem was touching in some manner. It's a quick and pleasant read that inspires.
Thoughts While Aging
Here is a candid book of mostly blank verse giving the author's impressions of life from day to day. In the process he covers many years as he
looks back in maturity to what his feelings were in various moods. Using both pithy phrases as well as more lengthy poems he gives the reader
a most interesting look at how he has adjusted. Reading this book had me making my own mental commentary in blank verse which I expect
to put down on paper in the near future. Well worth the experience.
So much thought put into every page. Sad emotions, happy emotions. I laughed, I cried. I enjoyed. Thanks for helping us to age gracefully.
